Changing viewers

You might prefer the way one viewer displays a particular file format over another viewer or the way the tools work in one viewer better than another viewer. When attempting to display a document, the BlueCielo viewer tries to use the first viewer in its list of available viewers for each file type. If the first viewer fails, it moves on to the next viewer in the list, and so on. You can change the order of the viewers in the list for each file format by following these steps:

  1. Select a document of the format for which you want to select a different viewer. For example, select an AutoCAD drawing file if you want to use a different viewer for this file format.
  2. Right-click in the viewer pane and select Viewer Options. The Viewer Options dialog appears. Under Use Viewers in Order is the list of available viewers for AutoCAD files.
  3. Select the desired viewer from the list and move it to the top of the list using the upward-pointing arrow button.
  4. Click OK.

You should now see the document displayed with the chosen viewer in the viewer pane. This procedure applies to all file formats and all viewers. To change the configurable options for a viewer, see Setting viewer options.

Note    For information on using the tools that are specific to viewers other than the BlueCielo viewer (for example, AutoVue 2D Professional) please refer to that viewer’s documentation.
